Solo 0-0 per i Vics in una partita dominata e nella quale avrebbero certamente meritato la vittoria.

Già subito dall'inizio del match i Vics hanno mantenuto un buon possesso palla creando nel primo tempo delle occasioni da gol con Riley, su calcio di punizione, Wade e Johnson.

Nel secondo tempo il Northwich ha continuato ad offrire lo stesso gioco e costruendo altre buone azioni con occasioni con un tiro dalla distanza di Wade e con un colpo di testa di Budrys.

Al 70° Preece ha mandato in campo Clarke e Woolfe per Budrys e Johnson nel tentativo di sbloccare il risultato, mentre il Matlock si è limitato a difendere.

Grande prestazione di Kennedy, portiere degli ospiti, che blocca anche un tentativo di Wade e successivamente un calcio di punizione di Woolfe.

Il Northwich vince anche nel FA Trophy battendo per 4-2 l'AFC Flyde, stesso risultato con cui i Vics avevano battuto il Lostock nella Mid Cheshire Senior Cup.
